With My Heart in My Hands

Dear Patients,
There are no words big enough to hold the depth of love and loss I feel. On April 23, 2025, my beloved husband, Dr. Douglas Hall, took his last breath — and with it, a chapter closed in this world that will never be written again.
The days since his passing have been heavy with sorrow, but also full of something beautiful: your messages, your prayers, your stories. Every kind word, every memory you’ve shared — it’s been like a thread stitching together the love he left behind. Thank you. From the deepest part of my heart… thank you.
Doug was more than a doctor. He was a healer, a listener, a protector of hope. He gave over four decades of his life to this community — not because it was his job, but because it was his calling. Medicine, to him, wasn’t just about labs and diagnoses. It was about connection. He believed that every person who walked through his doors deserved to be seen, heard, and cared for in body, mind, and spirit. And he lived that belief — every single day.
He didn’t just treat symptoms — he treated souls.
And you — each of you — mattered to him. He remembered your names, your stories, your children. He carried you with him. Even as he faced his own illness, he continued to care, to think, to research… to love. Right up until the end, you were on his heart.
As I move through the grief of losing not just my husband, but our shared purpose and dream, I am doing all I can to honor him the way he honored you. I am working with a trusted professional to find a provider — someone whose heart aligns with Doug’s mission, someone who will carry forward the light he brought to so many lives.
But I want to say this clearly, from the quiet truth in my heart:
There will never be another Dr. Hall.
No one can ever replace who he was, what he gave, or the space he held in so many lives.
While I hold close the dream we shared, I know that now is the time to protect it — not to step into it. I am not yet walking the path we once imagined side by side — but I am here, doing what I can to honor it, to guard its spirit, and to carry it forward with tenderness.
His way of seeing people, of listening beyond words, of believing in the body’s ability to heal — these are not things that end with him. They live on in the care he gave and in each of you whose lives he touched. The steps ahead will be taken slowly, thoughtfully, and with deep respect for all that he stood for.
What You Need to Know Now:
- We are currently interviewing providers. I promise to update you once the right person is found — not to replace Doug, but to carry forward the heart of his work.
- Medical records are secure and protected under HIPAA and Florida privacy laws.
- If you would like a copy of your records, please email support@douglaschallmd.com and indicate you’d like them sent electronically.
- For urgent needs, please contact your primary care provider or a local medical facility.
Some patients have inquired about a nurse practitioner who previously worked at Dr. Hall’s. Please note that she is no longer affiliated with this practice, is currently practicing under a different physician, not based locally, and at this time, she is not part of the transition of care.
For Those Asking About Supplements:
We have a limited supply of physical supplements remaining, which are available for purchase. If you are interested, please contact us directly at 352-804-0505. You can also continue to order online through www.medicaldetectivemd.com or Wholescripts.com using provider code icanfixyou.
I know this is a tender time — for all of us. Thank you for your patience, for your grace, and for the love you’ve shown our family. Thank you for trusting Doug, for allowing him to care for you, and for becoming part of his life’s purpose. That trust, that connection — it meant more to him than you could ever know.
His hands may no longer be here to heal and deliver lives into the world, but his legacy continues — in your stories, in your wellness, in every life he touched. And I will carry it forward, with love, with care, and with the same devotion he gave so freely.
With all my heart,
Sarah Hall, RN
